Cassandra Barker
General Manager
Cassandra is MapData Services’ dynamic General Manager, leading a team responsible for delivering some of the nation’s most enterprising uses of maps and data.
A passionate Geographic Information System (GIS) and cartography specialist, Cassandra has worked to extend MapData Services’ product suite and bring some of the world’s most innovative technology platforms to Australian business.
Cassandra’s career in the spatial industry spans sixteen years, including eleven at the nation’s leading GIS specialist Esri Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Land Information at RMIT and a Master of Marketing at Monash University, and has worked extensively across the government, mining and exploration and spatial sectors.
As a member of Women On Boards, she is a well-regarded national advocate for women working in the spatial industry.
A leader in her field, Cassandra’s opinion is often sought by media and industries alike – you can see her talk to Sky News about her vision for location aware smartphone apps.
Loretta Pearman
Business Development Manager
If you can dream it, Loretta can make it happen. Loretta is a master craftswoman, drawing on all the tools and technology at her disposal to deliver clients the inventive and the unconventional.
Bringing her imagination and commitment to every client challenge, Loretta has helped companies in the IT, telecommunications and financial services sectors take their big ideas from napkins and notepads to fully-developed functional solutions.
Loretta is a highly respected operator and draws on more than 15 years of industry experience to deliver clever, first-to-market solutions for her clients.
Ed Haverkamp
Data Manager
As MapData Services’ Data Manager, Ed is the driving force behind our products and services across Australia and New Zealand.
Operating and maintaining the data sets that underpin over 200 online applications while managing MapData Services’ various product release and maintenance schedules – Ed is well regarded as MapData Services’ resident data guru.
Ed holds a Master of Science in Geography at Auckland University, and takes a keen interest in emerging trends in digital mapping data. His commitment to providing the most up-to-date and authoritative data has been instrumental in establishing MapData Services as the region’s leading mapping data specialists.
Chris Taylor
Service Delivery Manager
Chris governs MapData Services’ strategy for service delivery, skillfully coordinating MapData Services’ professional services and software development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Chris’ extensive experience in IT development, coupled with his strong leadership, ensures his team is equipped with the knowledge and tools required to work across platforms. It’s a formula that ensures our clients receive only best of breed solutions.
Chris’ client-focused and results-driven approach ensures all projects and initiatives are delivered with MapData Services’ signature agility and reliability.
Mark Stratford
Principal Consultant
Mark can talk the talk with ICT professionals, and just as easily connect with business leaders looking to better understand the solution that will deliver their business vision.
Mark brings his experience, expertise and inventiveness to every client challenge. From one-off point solutions to comprehensive mapping and data integrations, Mark works tirelessly behind the scenes to filter, sort and select the right combination of products and services to deliver on the client brief.
With 18 years' experience in the spatial industry, he is an expert in Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis and data management.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geography and Environmental Science. He is a skilled educator, regularly delivering training and support on technical solutions.
Shannon Smith
Project Manager
As MapData Services’ lead Project Manager, Shannon oversees the end-to-end software development lifecycle; working closely with our clients to advance projects from initial scoping stages through to testing and evaluation.
Shannon’s approach to project management is much more than plans and deadlines. Through a constant cycle of listening, consulting, custom-designing and delivering, Shannon ensures business objectives are met and clients feel supported.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Business, and is a Certified ScrumMaster. He has successfully implemented the ‘Scrum’* project management framework across MapData Services’ software development team.
*Scrum is an agile framework for completing complex projects, not a rugby tactic.
Jesus Brillantes
Client Services Manager
Meet Jesus, our Client Services Manager and self-confessed ‘people’ person.
Jesus brings both exceptional customer service and an energetic verve to all client engagements, working closely with MapData Services’ own support team to provide expert assistance to all client requests.
Drawing upon his extensive client service experience across the financial, retail and health sectors, Jesus is well-practiced in putting the client first – every time.
Jesus is currently studying a Master in Business Administration at the University of Technology, Sydney. In his spare time, he can be found volunteering as a teacher’s aide and mental health worker at Wairoa School and Carinya Home.
